1960 - 1966First chair Bass and Sousaphone in junior high and high school.
1st and 2nd prize in the Bands of America contest;
the prize included an appearance at the World's Fair,N.Y.N.Y.
Played professionally throughout high school.
1966 - 1969Navy School of Music, toured with the 'Captain's Orchestra'.
Finished first honours in a class of international musicians.
